Elizabeth B. "Betty" Gibson, 77, of Vandalia, died Friday, November 30, 2012, at Good Samaritan Hospital after a long & courageous battle with diabetes. She was born in Middletown on September 8, 1935 to parents Cyprian and Mary (Morvitski) Klamo.
Betty worked for many years as a registered nurse at Middletown Regional Hospital, retiring in 1997 and then worked at her son Joe's law office. She was a member of St. John's Church where she was a member of Young At Heart and worked Bingo.
Ms. Gibson is survived by her four children, Debbie (Matt) Breuer, Randy (Karen) Gibson, Scott Gibson & Joe (Sonia) Gibson; brother, Frank Klamo; and numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers & sisters Annie Kittel, John Klamo, Cyprian Klamo Jr., Margaret Klamo, Andy Klamo & Joe Klamo.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Parish - St. John's Church, 1405 First Avenue, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 4, 2012 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
