Elizabeth “Libby” Rukavina, 92, of Middletown, died Thursday June 8, 2006, at Garden Manor Retirement Village. She was born in Monroe, on February 21, 1914 to parents Frank and Jessie (Hiteshue) Wagner.
Libby was a graduate of Monroe High School and worked as a waitress at The Meadows Restaurant.
She was always loving and kind and will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jake Rukavina in January 2005; her parents; and brothers and sisters, Alice Owens, Calvin Wagner, Clara Mae Braden, Edgar Wagner, and Ruth Ann Collins.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, June 12, 2006 at 12:00 NOON at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.) with Deacon Tom Coyle officiating. Visitation will be Monday, prior to the service from 11:00 am -12:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at North Monroe Cemetery.
