Elizabeth W. Richmond

Elizabeth W. "Betty" Richmond, 87, of Monroe, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at her home. She was born in Middletown on September 2, 1937 to parents, Brooks and Myrtle (Ballard) Wills. She was the third of seven children and grew up on a farm in Butler County.

In 1955, Elizabeth graduated from Miami Edison High School in Miami, Florida. She returned to Middletown, Ohio in 1962 and worked as a secretary at McKinley Junior High School, where she met her husband, Neil W. Richmond and then married in 1964. Elizabeth lived in Monroe for 60 years.

She is survived by her daughters, Rachel Richmond of Cincinnati and Laura R. Greiwe of Walton, Ky; grandchildren, Drew Brown, Quinton Brown, William Greiwe and Luke Greiwe; brother, Marvin "Bud" (Pat) Wills; and sisters, Norma Curry, Joy Shotwell and Janet (Richard) Matthews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Neil W. Richmond; brother, Melvin Wills; and sister, Fern Wills.

Private services will be held by the family.
