Elizabeth Wiley

Elizabeth Wiley, 99, of Monroe, died Friday, December 18, 2009, at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village. She was born in Springfield, Ohio on October 29, 1910 to parents Charles and Maggie (Hurd) Lemmon.

Mrs. Wiley earned her Associates Degree from Oberlin College and worked in the admissions office at Miami University for 8 years, retiring in 1975.

She is survived by her four daughters, Marjorie (Hugh) Hays, Ann Blose, Elizabeth Louise (Stephen Nightingale) Wiley and Patricia (Marcelino) Rivera; 9 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Frank E. Wiley in 1968; her parents; and brother, Martin Lemmon.

Memorial service will be held December 26, 2009 at 11:30 AM at Monroe Presbyterian Church, 57 W. Elm Street, Monroe with Rev. Patrick Warren officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow the service at the church. Inurnment will be held in Clyde, Ohio at the convenience of the family.
