Emma “Liz” Burns, 63, of Middletown, died Wednesday, May 26, 2004, at Middletown Regional Hospital. She was born in Morely, Tennessee on September 30, 1940 to parents Woodrow and Viola (Baker) Tidwell.
Liz worked for, and became a supervisor for, the U.S. Shoe Company. She also enjoyed “going to the boat”.
Mrs. Burns is survived by her two daughters, Ramonia (Tim) Carroll of Middletown, OH, and Regina (Vincent) Harrison of Springboro, OH; one son, Ricky (Carmel) Burns of Middletown, OH; two sisters, Helen (Jeff) Carpenter of Indiana, Mary (Steve) Stange of Tennessee; two brothers: Paul (Shirley) Tidwell and Danny (Sylvia) Baker, both of Florida; six grandchildren, Joshua & Justin Carroll, Betsy (Ryan) Cox, Kelly Harrison, Richard (Tabitha Watts) Burns, and Randy (Channel Jackson) Burns; and three great grandchildren, Emily Cox, Evan Cox, and Alex Burns.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Crit Burns in 1998; her parents; sister, Thelma Cornelius; and brother, Ralph Baker.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 29, 2004 at 10:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., with Pastor Chris Tannreuther officiating. Visitation will be Friday, from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
