Emma M. Humanic, 88, of Monroe, passed away Friday, January 11, 2019, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Clairton, Pennsylvania on February 19, 1930 to parents Michael and Mary (Ference) Bindas.
Throughout her early life, Emma worked a secretary for several companies and later worked at Monroe Pharmacy. Her real passion was being a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother and a generous friend to anyone who walked through her door. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.
Mrs. Humanic is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Humanic; sons, Gregory Humanic & Brian (Donna) Humanic; daughter, Mary Jo (Jeff) Burgdorf; brother, Johnny Bindas; grandchildren, Nicholas Humanic, Ryan Burgdorf & Aaron Burgdorf; as well as many other loving family & friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Margaret Bindas; and brother, Michael Bindas.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 330 Lebanon Street, Monroe with Father Paul Gebhardt as celebrant. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the church. Interment will be at North Monroe Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a memorial donation be made to the charity of your choice in Emma’s memory.
