Ernest "Bo" Teets Jr.

Ernest E. “Bo” Teets, Jr., 82, of Monroe, died Sunday, October 1, 2017, at Garden Manor Retirement Village where he had resided for over 13 months. He was born in Middletown on December 31, 1934, to parents Ernest E. Sr. and Clara (Hall) Teets.

Bo graduated from Middletown High School. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Korean War. He worked as a bar mill roller for Armco Steel Corp, retiring in 1991 after 40 years. Bo enjoyed dogs and music and he was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Bo is survived by his wife, Catherine Austin Teets, whom he married in 1968; brother, Donald G. (Jan) Teets; a niece and several nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, June Gebhardt and Diane Teets.

Memorial service will be held Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 10 North Breiel Blvd., Middletown with Pastor Sara Cutter officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the church. Bo’s ashes will be scattered in the memorial garden at Zion Lutheran Church.
