Ernest 'Bud' Bratlie Jr.

Ernest H. “Bud” Bratlie, Jr., 74, of Franklin, died Thursday, July 28, 2005, at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 20, 1930 to parents Ernest H. Sr. and Stella (Johnson) Bratlie. “

Bud was a United States Navy veteran, serving during the Korean War. He was a fire & safety engineer for Johnson & Higgins Insurance Brokers, retiring in 1992.

Mr. Bratlie is survived by his wife of 43 years, Margitta (Zessin) Bratlie of Franklin, OH; three children, Kurt (Ellen) Bratlie of Coopersburg, PA, Mark (Kris) Bratlie of Ada, MI, and David (Shawna) Bratlie of Portage, IN; two grandchildren, Mackenzie & Drew Bratlie; and a sister, Dorothy Anderson of Cary, IL; as well as many beloved cousins in the CCU.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 20, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor David Moreland officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9-11:00 AM at the church.
