Esther Eva Furlow

Esther E. Furlow, 92, co-founder of Central Pastry in Middletown, formerly of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Monday at Middletown Regional Hospital. Esther resided in Middletown since 1949.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents Victor and Tena (Thompson) McGovern, a brother Edwin, and her former husband Walter Furlow who passed away in 1975. She is survived by a son Donald W. and wife Betty; three granddaughters Sherry (Pat) Salvatore, Julie (Terry) Miller, and Maggie Cope (& fiance Jeff Foley); six great grandchildren Shelly & Dani Salvatore, Tyler & Esther Morgan Plumbo, and Corby & Jordan Cope. She is also survived by her close friend and companion Joan Shivers and cousin Claudine (Glenn) Norton.
Rev. Robert Weingartner will officiate the funeral service.
Esther's family wishes to thank all of the nurses, and others involved, from ICU and the 1st floor for their loving care and attention while Esther was in the hospital. Also, a special thank you to Buford Mills, Licensed Massage Therapist, for his special help.
