Esther Fugate, 82, of Middletown, died Sunday, October 28, 2007, at Close To Home Assisted Living. She was born in Middletown, on April 12, 1925 to parents Berry and Clara (Back) Lawson.
Mrs. Fugate worked as head cashier for Kroger for 30 years.
Esther is survived by her daughter, Loretta (Neal) Reifsnider; two sons, David (Peggy) Fugate and Stephen Fugate; four sisters, Joyce Wilson, Flora Short, Wanda Gehorn, and Anita Gehorn; three brothers, Merle Lawson, Denzil Lawson, and Dewey Lawson; granddaughters, Linda (Dan) Barrett, Kristie Wilch, and Tricia (David) Caldwell; 5 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband Levi Fugate; her parents; brother, Ronald Lawson; and great granddaughter, Kristen Norris.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday, November 1, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Butler County Memorial Park Chapel with Pastor Tim Sheets officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:30 - 2:00 PM at the chapel. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
