Estil E. Lawson

Estil E. Lawson of Middletown died on Sunday, December 18, 2011 at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. He was born in Middletown on December 19, 1936 to parents Clester and Zona (Williams) Lawson.

Estil was a father and grandfather who enjoyed gardening and spending time with his children. He was always willing to talk to others, sharing what he knew and learning what he could. He retired from Cinergy utility company in 1997 after 40 years of service. He was a member First Baptist Church
of Middletown.

Estil is survived by his wife of 44 years Gail; step-sons Arley (Debbie) Ratliff and David Ratliff; grandchildren Gail Hamm, Tonya (Doug) Martin, Mark (Angela) Ratliff, Deanna (Joe) Bargdill, Travis (Stacy) Ratliff; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one step-son, Raymond Ratliff.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Reverend Kenneth Fey officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
