Ethel M. O'Neill

Ethel M. O'Neill, 89, of Middletown, died Monday, July 16, 2007, at Middletown Regional Hospital. She was born in Middletown, on May 24, 1918 to parents William and Matilda (Peck) Owens.

Ethel worked as a secretary in the General Offices of Armco Steel Corp for 30 years. She was a member of Stratford Heights Church of God, where she taught Sunday School and was the director of the youth choir.

Ethel is survived by four daughters, Lois (Daniel) McCloud, Helen (Tim) Kraft, Carolyn Zimmerman, and Janet (Lonnie) Lowe; a son, Jim Cassidy; sisters, Roberta Goodloe, Mayme Fraley, and Mary King; 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Cassidy; her parents; brothers, Paul Owens and Lester Owens; sisters, Marie Thomas and Minnie Owens; and daughter-in-law, Julia Cassidy.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 20, 2007 at 2:00 PM at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown, with Pastor Raymond Phillips officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
