Gill, Eva Mae

Eva Mae Gill, 92, of Arcadia, FL, formerly of Middletown, died Saturday, October 23, 2010, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. She was born in Wellington, Kentucky on September 13, 1918 to parents Ben Curtis and Madalene (Phipps) Wells. On November 29, 1935 she married Albert Carl Gill.

Eva was a very active and devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church, Arcadia, Florida.

Mrs. Gill is survived by her brothers, Robert (June) Wells and Seibert Wells; sister, Thelma Pugh; grandsons, Ron (Julie) Byrge, Jeff (Amanda) Byrge and Mark (Erin) Byrge; granddaughter, Carla Childers; son-in-law, Harold Byrge; ten great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and special friend and pastor Rev. Ted Land.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 63 years Albert, daughter, Shirley Jean Byrge; son, Robert Henry Gill; three brothers and two sisters,

Memorial service will be held Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 11:00 am at First Presbyterian Church, 2910 Central Ave., Middletown with Reverend L. Timothy Doty officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date at Woodside Cemetery.
