Evelyn L. George

Evelyn L. George, 84, of Monroe, died Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at her residence. She was born in Brown County, Ohio on September 21, 1926 to parents George and Dorothy Redkey.

Evelyn worked as a solderer for Cincinnati Electronics, retiring in May 1989.

Mrs. George is survived by her daughters, Aledra George and Garnetta (Stephen) Lewis; brother, Jack Mobley; sisters, Marge Hillard and Jessie Miller; grandchildren, Dr. Jeromy (Traci) Lewis and Jamie Lewis; and great granddaughter, Abigail Lewis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph H. George in 2008; parents; brothers, Clive, Paul, Earl & William Redkey; and sister, Roberta Donahue.

He was dedicated to our mom's care and well being up to the last minute. Special thank you and we love you, Steve. Also, very special appreciation to Dr. Omer C. Hurlburt III and his loving staff for always being available and faithful to our mom's needs and well being.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 7, 2011 at 11:00 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Reverend Dr. Roger Green officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
