Evelyn Mary Moorhead

Evelyn M. Moorhead, 82, of Middletown, died Thursday, April 28, 2011, at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio, on April 13, 1929, to parents Roy and Catherine (Skalley) Moorhead.

Evelyn attended Holy Trinity School and graduated from Middletown High School in 1947. She worked for Ohio Bell and First National Bank in Middletown, and Manatee National Bank while living in Florida. Evelyn also volunteered for the American Heart and Stoke Association in Florida. She enjoyed reading, oil painting, and embroidery work. She loved family celebrations and spending time with friends. Our family will miss her love, kindness, gentle ways, and encouraging words. We will always remember her.

Miss Moorhead is survived by her sister, Winifred (Jerry) Nardiello; brother, James (Patricia) Moorhead; niece, Mary Anne Nardiello; niece, Catherine; and nephew, George.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Donald Moorhead.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 10:30 am at Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church, 201 Clark Street, Middletown with Fr. John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown, OH. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
