Fayne Williamson Hughes, 96, of Middletown, Ohio, died on September 10, 2004, at Garden Manor Retirement Village. She was born in Pike County, Kentucky on October 26, 1907 to parents Marvin and Elizabeth (Morris) Williamson.
She was a teacher, secretary and administrative assistant, working for Chrisman Insurance Agency in Pikeville, Kentucky for 27 years, retiring in 1977. Mrs. Hughes was a member of University Baptist Church.
She is survived by nephews, Mike (Judy) Williamson, Walker (Sally) Williamson and nieces, Nancy Karol Caudill and Jeri Wray Bly; grandnephews, Phil (Becky)Blankenship, John Lee (Anne) Williamson, Michael (Cathi) Williamson and Robert Walker Williamson; grandnieces, Liz Ann (Dominick) Salamone, Jennifer Lynn (Phil) Osborn, Laura (Rob) Smith, Amy (Todd) Smith, Cynthia (Jay) Alix and Carol (Alan) DeNaro and numerous great grand nephews and nieces. Also niece, Anna Lee Williamson and nephew, Vernon (Tracy) Blankenship; cousins, Lydia Marie Smith, Justine Trivette and Nell Ruth Nance.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John L. Williamson; sisters, Hazel Williamson, Mae Childers and Mintona “Toni” Williamson; niece, LaNita Blankenship and nephew, John Larry Williamson.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at 10:00 AM at Woodside Cemetery Chapel with Reverend Nolan Phillips officiating. Visitation will be Monday, September 13, 2004 from 5-7 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
