Fern Louise Foreman, better known as Mimi, 97, of Monroe, died Sunday, January 19, 2003 at Hawthorn Glen Nursing Center. She was born in Middletown on November 30, 1905, the daughter of the late Albert Hoppe and Emma (Larrick) Hoppe. Fern was a member of the Monroe United Methodist Church and Prosser Chapter #367 Order of Eastern Star.
Mrs. Foreman is survived by her son, Dale F. Foreman and his wife Joanne, of Monroe; daughter-in-law Dorthe Foreman of Fountain Hills, Arizona; sisters-in-law Virginia Foreman of Trenton and Mildred Hoppe of Middletown; grandchildren, Jim Foreman and wife Lynn, Fred Foreman and wife Roni, Kate Suko and husband Paul, Patti Lindley and husband Gary, Vicki Burns and husband Cliff, Roger Foreman and Tammi Thompson; great grandchildren, Brook and wife Flor Foreman, Jim and wife Jenn Foreman, Matt Burns, Todd Foreman, Tommy Foreman, Julie Burns, Ben Thompson, Katherin Foreman, Caitlin Thompson, Kristin Thompson, and Abigail Joanna; great great grandson Clint Foreman, and many loved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Fred O. Foreman on January 23, 1994, her son Albert C. Foreman; her sisters Alberta Minge, Freda Tucker, Bertha Williamson, and Thelma Harpe; and her brothers Dallas and William Hoppe.
The family would like to express it's appreciation to the staff of Hawthorn Glen for the care and kindness shown to Mrs. Foreman and the family while she was a resident there. Dale Foreman would like to say a special thank you to Stefanie Shinkle, Mary Brinegar, and Debbie Irwin of Hawthorn Glen, and many thanks to the pastor and her church family of Monroe United Methodist Church for their care and love.
Funeral service will be Thursday, January 23, 2003 at 10:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., with Reverend Bradford G. Olson officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home, with Eastern Star services presented by Prosser Chapter #367 O.E.S. at 7:30 PM.
