Flore Chouinard

Flore Chouinard of Garden Manor Extended Care Center, died Sunday, November 17, 2002 at the age of 102. She was born in Montreal, Quebec but lived several years in Chicago, Illinois and Arlington, Virginia before moving to Middletown in 1967 following the death of her husband, Rene Chouinard.

Mrs. Chouinard was a member of Holy Family Parish-St. John's Church and the Homemakers Circle. She was very active with the Middletown Senior Citizens Center for over 20 years, until 1988. She loved to travel and made many trips abroad and in the States.

Mrs. Chouinard is survived by her daughter Mariette (Donald) Welbaum of Middletown; two brothers John and Lucien L'Heureux, both of Montreal, Quebec; a granddaughter Colette Davis of Silver Spring, MD; and a grandson James T. (Antoinette) Davis of Middletown.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and two brothers, Jacques and Roger L'Heureux.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family with Father John Civille officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
