Floyd J. Flannagan, 86, of Turtlecreek Township, died Thursday, October 30, 2008, at Otterbein-Lebanon Retirement Community. He was born in Chatsworth, Georgia on December 24, 1921 to parents Lester and Marta (Charles) Flannagan.
Mr. Flannagan was employed by General Motors for 26 years. He was a decorated World War II veteran and a member of Grace Baptist Church.
He is survived by his sons, Phillip (Ann) Flannagan and Richard (Regina) Flannagan; daughter-in-law, Linda Mullins; stepchildren, Marilyn (George) Bowden, Malinda Schroeder and William (Glenda) Pierce; step daughter-in-law, Linda Pierce; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, & great great grandchildren.
Floyd was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia (Gochoel) Flannagan; his parents; son, Michael Flannagan; step son, David Pierce; and brother, Ralph Flannagan.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, November 3, 2008 at 1:00 pm at Grace Baptist Church, 3023 N. Union Rd., Middletown with Reverend Dr. Roger Green officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00 - 1:00 pm at the church. Interment will be at Miami Valley Memory Gardens with military honors conducted by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
