Frances Jean “Jeannie” Svarda-Schneider, 45, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 26, 2019, due to an unexpected illness. She was born in Middletown on September 28, 1973 to parents Docie and Mary Svarda.
Jeannie married her longtime friend and love, Chad Schneider, in March of 2001. Graduating from Miami University in 2001, Jeannie was a writer for 18 years for various publications nationwide. It suited her creative heart. She was a writer influenced by greats such as Toni Morrison, who provided one of Jeannie's admired quotes, "If you surrender to the air, you could ride it," Her life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 ----"And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ." She was dedicated to great causes for the American Legion Post 218 Ladies Auxiliary and the Knights of Columbus Chapter 1610 Ladies Auxiliary.
Jeannie is survived by her dedicated husband, Chad Schneider; loving son, Walter Schneider; five aunts & uncles; thirteen cousins; along with other family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Docie and Mary Svarda; brother, Robert Svarda; and uncle, Charles Svarda.
Please join us in celebrating her life Saturday morning, February 2, 2019 for a memorial mass at 11:00 am at Holy Family Parish-Holy Trinity Church, 201 Clark St, Middletown, with Father John Civille as celebrant. Lunch will directly follow.
