Francis M. Fuller, 81, of Middletown, passed away on April 9, 2008, at Atrium Medical Center. He was a life long resident of Middletown, being born here on November 17, 1926.
Mr. Fuller was discharged in 1946 from the Marine Corps, after serving in Burma. He belonged to the American Legion Post 218, where he proudly served with the Honor Guard for many years and also belonged to VFW Post 3809. Francis retired from the Middletown Post Office after many years of service and was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was a member of Lincoln Masonic Lodge #693, Middletown Chapter RAM's #87, Royal & Select Masons of Ohio Middletown Council #136, Middletown Commandery #71, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton A.A.S.R 32nd degree, Dayton Antioch Shrine of North America and was a 50 year member of N.A.L.C.
Francis was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Louise & Herbert Paul Fuller. His best friends and loving beagle companions Rocky & Rusty also preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Mary Ellen Fuller; sisters-in-law, Catherine (Robert) Brown, Nancy (Cary) Fenton, Jean (Donald) Stamper, and Myra Edwards; niece, Susan Fisher; nephews, Scott Stamper, David Stamper, Jeffery Stamper, and Robert Stamper; in addition to loving great nieces, great nephews, & cousins.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, April 14, 2008 at 10:00 AM at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown, with Pastor Dean Penrod officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, from 5:00 - 8:00 pm with Masonic Service at 7:00 pm, followed by Scottish Rite Ring Service. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery with military honors conducted by Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Pines Pet Cemetery Beautification Fund, 764 Riley Wills Rd., Lebanon, Ohio 45036 – OR – charity of donor's choice.
