Frank Leo Armbruster, 80, of Kings Mills, died on Wednesday, September 15, 2004, at his daughter’s residence. He was born in Middletown, on February 15, 1924 to David Alvin and Clara Althea (Trimble) Armbruster.
Frank worked as a BOF Operator for Armco Steel Corporation for 30 years. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II and was a member of American Legion Post 218 for over 50 years. He was also a member of the DAV and the VFW #3809. He lived in Florida for 26 years, returning to Ohio to be near family. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Frank is survived by, one daughter, Mary Catherine (David Lee) Uleman of Kings Mills; two sisters, JoAnn Manning and Helen Donisi, both of Florida; a brother, Fred Armbruster of California ; three grandsons, Jon (Tricia) Croake-Uleman of Lebanon, Daniel Uleman of Kings Mills, and Michael (Pam) Uleman of Fairfax, VA; two granddaughters, Cory (Tim) Bunnell of West Chester and Anne Uleman of Fayetteville, NC; and seven great grandchildren, Lauren, Cameron Frank, & Samantha Croake-Uleman, Ashley & Hanna Uleman, and Elizabeth & Benjamin Bunnell.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred “Mickey” Armbruster; his parents; two brothers, David & Robert Armbruster; and a sister, Jean Murphy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, September 20, 2004 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Parish - St. John's Church with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:30 - 7:30 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., Middletown, OH. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
