Frank Pressler, 85, formerly of Middletown, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at Bethesda North Hospital. Born in Middletown, Ohio, on February 16, 1940 to parents, Earl and Genevieve (Knorr) Pressler, Frank lived a life marked by true kindness, heartfelt generosity and complete devotion to those around him.
Frank proudly served his country in the United States Army and lived a life of sacrifice for those he loved. During his military service, he routinely sent all of his earnings back to his mother to help take care of the family. He returned to Middletown to marry Judy, his high school sweetheart, and began a career at AK Steel that lasted more than 30 years. After his first retirement, his second career started at Lowe’s where he also retired after 15 years. He was also a dedicated member of Holy Family Parish - St. John Church and the Knights of Columbus. A beloved presence in his community, Frank’s giving spirit shone through his decades of volunteering at the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry and steadfast care for those in need. Frank loved sports of all sorts, and was an avid memorabilia collector. His enthusiasm for athletics extended beyond collecting when he began competing in half Marathons and Pickleball, finding joy and fulfillment in the endurance and discipline of sport.
Above all else, Frank was a devoted family man who cherished time spent with loved ones. He will be greatly missed by his son, Kevin (Sara) Pressler; daughter, Amy (Steve) McKiddy; grandchildren, Sophie Pressler, Riley Pressler, Andrew McKiddy & Benjamin McKiddy; sister, Trudy (Byron) Ashbrook; and many nieces, nephews & a great many friends. He was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Judy Pressler; his parents; and brother, David Pressler. His warmth, his smiles, and his hugs left a lasting impression on all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to all who had the privilege to know him as father, brother, husband, grandfather and friend.
