William Franklin Joseph "Frank" Richmond, 84, of Middletown, died Thursday, June 28, 2018, at his home. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on July 22, 1933 to parents William F. and Mary (Petix-Cardella) Richmond at his grandparents’ home. He grew up in Cincinnati, graduating from Hughes High School and later the University of Cincinnati.

Frank was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps after serving 2 years active duty during the Korean Conflict and then served in the Marine Reserves. Frank and Charlene had owned Middletown Janitorial Supply (MIDJASCO) and Banner Mat, Cincinnati and were active in the ISSA. Frank was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, member of Carson Lodge in Cincinnati and a member of the Syrian Shrine. Throughout the years he was active in & served on the civic boards for Ducks Unlimited, Madison Lions Club, the Exchange Club of Middletown and others. He also served at Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church and more recently at Middletown First United Methodist Church.

Mr. Richmond is survived by his wife, Phyllis (Eck-Wilson) Richmond; daughter, Susan (Gary) Kraft; sons, David Richmond, Alan Richmond & Benjamin (Kable) Richmond; brother, Robert (Alice) Richmond; special sister-in law, Charlotte Theile; step daughters, Sharon (David) Shook, Pam Miller & Julie (Mike) Finney; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Charlene (Reinschmidt) Richmond in 2000; parents; sister, Rosemary Leibrook; and grandson, Damon Coburn.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 11:00 am at First United Methodist Church, 120 S. Broad Street, Middletown with Reverend John Wagner officiating. Inurnment will be at Miltonville Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
