Gary Day

Gary Day, age 70, of Middletown, OH, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2022 at home. He was born October 31, 1951 in Hazard, KY, son of the late William I. and Bobbie Jean Day. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, June Day and Marilyn (Ike) Johnson. Gary is survived by his wife of 47 years, Karen Webster Day; daughters, Amy Day, Carrie (Joe) Brady, Julie (Chad) Helton; grandchildren, Isaiah and Reagan Brady, Magnolia Helton; his twin brother, Larry (Janie) Day; nieces and a nephew, Elizabeth (Jeff) Bour, Melissa (Steve) England, Andy Day, Kelly Day; great-nieces and nephews, Kyle (Ashley Hall) England, Tanner (Taryn) England, Sara (Josh) Gay, Kaitlin Goodwin; great-great nieces and nephews, Kaylee, Kaycen and Remi England, Madelyn and Avery Gay, Mason and Emma Goodwin; cousins, Paul Wayne, Larry, Steve, Danny Day and Vicky Ashley and their families.

Gary loved the Lord and served Him all of his life. He and his family attended Tender Mercies Full Gospel Ministries in Middletown where he taught the adult Sunday School class.

Gary worked many years for Converters Gravure later named IVA Prepress, a company based out of Chicago. This job led to opportunities to live in West Monroe, Louisiana, and Queensbury, New York before leading the family back home to Ohio. Before retirement, Gary worked for Portion Pac in Mason, Ohio.

Gary made a lifelong commitment to study the Bible. He loved to share about the Lord, invite people to church and was always willing to pray for any needs. He was a wonderful husband and father, who always provided and loved his family. He especially loved his grandchildren, Isaiah, Reagan, and Magnolia.

Please join our family for Gary’s Celebration of Life service to be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Tender Mercies Full Gospel Ministries, 1430 Oxford State Road, Middletown, OH with Pastor Larry Hayes officiating. Visitation will start at 12 noon, with the service beginning at 1 pm.
