Gary L. Cooper, 74, of Madison Township, died Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at Atrium Medical Center. He was born in Caney, Kentucky on June 5, 1935 to parents Jerry and Myrtle (Morris) Cooper.
Gary was a builder and roofer for 40 years. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a 30 year member of the Trenton Church of the Nazarene, member of Blanchester Lodge #191 F & AM, AASR Scottish Rite, Antioch Shrine, and Eastern Star Carey Chapter #221.
Mr. Cooper is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Winnie (Napier) Cooper; eight children, Donnie (Linda) Crow, Cheryl (Mike) Flack, Michael (Joni) Crow, Cindy Whiteman and her friend Kenny Wallace, Vicki (Tom) Monce, Lora (Tyler) Brown, Randy (Becky) Crow and Karen Bretches; brother, Dale Cooper; 17 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Cooper Jr.; parents; two sisters, Faye Elam and Marietta Oney; and three brothers, James Williams, Rex Williams and Denval Williams.
Gary touched many lives and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, July 11, 2009 at 11:00 am at Trenton Church of the Nazarene, 220 N. Miami, Trenton with Pastor Paul Mills officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
