Georgia E. Spicer

Georgia E. Spicer, 94, of Middletown, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Letcher County, Kentucky on June 7, 1929, the daughter of Sam Ray and Ada Caudill.

Georgia had worked for St. Regis Paper Company. She was a woman of strong faith and in 1954 joined the Grand Avenue Church of God, which is now Towne Church. She was also a member of the YMCA.

Georgia loved her family and will be greatly missed by her son, Marcus (Shawna) Spicer; daughter, Sheila Spicer; grandchildren, Brian, Nicole (Mitch), Jessica & Jacob; great grandchildren, Christopher & Crizella; two great-great grandchildren; and many more loving family & friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Spicer; son, Timothy Colwell; step-daughter - Linda Spicer; parents; six sisters; and four brothers.

Funeral Service will be Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd (at Bonita Dr.) Middletown, with Reverend Brian Deaton officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery and Arboretum.
