Gerry Nickell

Geraldine H. “Gerry” Nickell, 66, of Franklin Township, died Friday, December 9, 2005, at her residence. She was born in Ironton, Ohio on December 6, 1939 to parents Claude and Flora Howard.

Gerry was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. She was loved by all who knew her. She worked for Union Sanitary Cleaners and then Gough-Lamb Cleaners, retiring in 2001 after 34 years in the dry cleaning business. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church for more than 35 years.

Mrs. Nickell is survived by her husband, Roger L. Nickell; daughter, Regina (Jim) Sams and son, Eric D. (Cindy) Nickell, both of Franklin Township; one sister, Christine Short of Middletown; two brothers, Paul (Maxine) Howard of Winchester and Troy (Barbara) Howard of Milford; grandchildren, Jeffery & Rachel Sams; and her grandbabies Natalie, Draven, & Alivia.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Johnny Howard; and sister, Margarine Howard.

Funeral Service will be held Monday, December 12, 2005 at 1:00 PM at Unity Baptist Church, 5960 Trenton-Franklin Rd., with Reverend Clay Colwell officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, from 2-5 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.). Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
