Gertrude L. Theobald, 83, of Middletown, died Saturday May 15, 2004 at Garden Manor. She was born April 28, 1921 in Hamilton to parents Charles and Clara (Kolbenstetter) Van Natta.
Mrs. Theobald was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, the Holy Name Ladies Society and she was a former assistant leader in 4-H.
Gertrude is survived by her son, Thomas (Beverly) Theobald of Middletown, two daughters Judith (William) Johns and Jeanne (Gerald) Johns, both of Trenton. She is also survived by three sisters Lois Leyrer of Hamilton, Elizabeth (Robert) Dixon of Bradenton FL. and Francis (Robert) Gilbert of Hamilton, and two brothers, Sam (Dorothy) Van Natta and Donald (Jeanne) Van Natta both of Hamilton. Survivors also include a sister in law Doris Van Natta of Hamilton, 11 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Theobald was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Albert C. Theobald in 2000, her brother Charles Van Natta, and a brother in law Paul Leyrer.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family with interment at Woodside Cemetery.
