Goldie B. Morningstar, 97, of Middletown, died Monday, May 9, 2005, at Garden Manor Retirement Village. She was born in Middletown, Ohio on April 11, 1908.
Goldie graduated from Middletown High School and Miami University. She worked as a bookkeeper for Black Clawson for 27 years. She was a charter member of Middletown Senior Citizens, charter and life member of Ida Morningstar Chapter #572 Order of Eastern Star, life member of Middletown White Shrine #25, and member of Imperial Court Order of Amaranth. Goldie held elective office in precent for the Republican Party and also served on the executive board. She was a life time member of Salvation Army and was the correspondent secretary for many years as well as serving on the executive board. She was a life time member of the Ladies Auxilliary to Middletown Commander #71, where she held the office of president for three years, and was secretary a number of times. She attended St. Paul´s United Church of Christ.
Mrs. Morningstar is survived by dear friends, Jeanne and Calvin Pyles of Middletown.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Clarence T. Morningstar in 1986.
A private graveside service will be held at Union Township Cemetery with Reverend Ron Dotson officiating. There will be no visitation.
