Grace E. Ihlendorf, 91, of Liberty Township, died on Sunday, August 6, 2006, at her residence. She was born in Cincinnati, on October 12, 1914 to Edward and Molly (Oker) Leininger.
Grace was a very active member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. She had been a Girl Scout Leader and enjoyed poetry and painting.
Grace is survived by her daughter, Mollie (Owen J.) Gill of Liberty Township; son, William E. (Brenda S.) Ihlendorf of Madison Township; grandchildren, William E. Ihlendorf Jr., Josette M. (Bryan) Cosby, Jon T. Ihlendorf, Rachel B. (Jason) Dean, Emily B. Gill, and Owen R. Gill; two great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her devoted friend, Elmer Hinkle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Ihlendorf; her parents; brother, Edward Leininger; and sister, Mary Steiner.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Monroe, with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 5-7 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown. Interment will be at North Monroe Cemetery.
