Gw Halcomb

GW Halcomb, 77, of Middletown, died Monday, May 12, 2014, at Atrium Medical Center. He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on December 14, 1936 to parents Howard and Faye (Tarter) Halcomb.

GW worked for Barclay Financial Services for 44 years. He was a member of Jefferson Lodge F. & A.M. #90, which he joined in 1969. He was also a member of the Valley of Dayton Scottish Rite and Dayton Antioch Shrine.

Mr. Halcomb is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Betty (McCaffrey) Halcomb; four children, Michael (Teri) Halcomb, Pennie Halcomb, Tony Halcomb & Ginger (Joe) Kirby; nine grandchildren, Chris (Kristen) Halcomb, Graham (Ashley) Halcomb, Chloe Robbins, Molli (Jeff) Carter, Claire Robbins, Collin Robbins, Conner Kirby, Chase Kirby & Sophie Kirby; five great grandchildren; a sister, Sue (Gregg) Peterson; niece, Pamela Anderson; nephew, Bill Caudill; and brother-in-law, Clyde Snell.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mildred Snell.

The family wishes to extend their special thanks to the Atrium Medical Center ICU doctors, nurses & staff for all of their care.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with interment at Woodside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of GW may be sent to the charity of the donor's choice.
