Harold W. Noble passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2002 in the residence at Kensington Place. He was born August 1, 1913 in West Liberty, Kentucky, but moved to Middletown very early in life.
Harold was employed by Armco Steel Corporation and retired in 1974 after 41 years as a welder at the fabricating division. During World War II he made landing barges. After retirement he spent his time tending to his small farm and a few cattle. He also enjoys gardening and raising vegetables organically.
Mr. Noble is survived by his wife of 65 1/2 years, Mary Fisher Noble; one daughter Sandra (Carl) Theiss; one granddaughter, Mary K. (Jeffrey) Theiss Thurston; and one great grandson, Jacob Paul Thurston. Also surviving are five brothers, Noah (Monna) Noble and Irven (Wanda) Noble both of Florida, Ray (Norma) Noble of Hamilton, Henry Noble of Wilmington, and Jerry (Betty) Noble of Franklin; and four sisters Anna Lickliter Stacy of Florida, Sarah (Mike) Hanes, Katy Thompson Twigg, and Betty Farthing Noble all of Franklin.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ira and Emma (Elam) Noble; and two sisters Rhoda (Dan) Hitte and Mable (Tom) Lawson.
Graveside funeral service will be Saturday, November 30, 2002 at 1:30 PM at Woodside Cemetery, with Rev. Larry Starkey officiating. There will be no visitation.
