Harry Michael Loncaric, 92, of Estero, Florida, formerly of Dayton, Ohio, died Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at Naples Community Hospital. He was born in Dayton on March 17, 1918 to parents Michael and Caroline (Mitterholzer) Loncaric.
Harry was a World War II veteran of the United States Army, serving first with horses in the Cavalry. After his technical skills were recognized, he was moved to the 149th Signal Corps. He worked for General Motors in Dayton for 44 years.
Mr. Loncaric is survived by his wife of 59 years, Louise (Sciannamblo) Loncaric; sister, Patricia Weeks; and nephews, Gary Weeks and Jim Weeks.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 11:00 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Father John Civille officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations may be made to Joanne's House at Hope Hospice, 27200 Imperial Pkwy, Bonita Springs, Florida 34135.
