Heidi Salsich Hoehn, 39, of Middletown, Ohio, died peacefully after a six year battle with ovarian cancer on Friday, April 2, 2004. She was at home and surrounded by her loving family.

Heidi was born on May 3, 1964 in St. Louis, MO. Daughter of Peter and the late Denise Salsich. She attended Nerinx Hall High School in Webster Groves, MO and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Saint Louis University where she met her husband, Ronald Hoehn.

Heidi and Ron married in 1986 and moved to Middletown, OH, where they made their home. Heidi was very active in her five children’s school and extracurricular activities. Heidi coached all of her children in soccer and was always seen at various John XXIII, Fenwick and Wildwood sporting events.

In her life she was a Girl Scout leader, a board member of the Middletown Youth Soccer Association and an active member of the Holy Family Parish.

She is survived by her husband, Ron and five children; Kayli, Jessica, Emily, Zachary and Joshua. She is also survived by her father, Peter Salsich, Jr., her brother Peter Salsich III (Christine), her sisters Gretchen Salsich (Jon Fisher), Maria Nash (Brian), Heather Lawyer (Christopher) and Bridget Salsich, grandmother Ann Salsich, parents-in-law; Mary & Hubert Hoehn, sister-in-law, Julie Hoehn, brother-in-law, Shawn Hoehn and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, sister, Ann Courtney Salsich and brothers Neil and Nicholas Salsich.

Heidi was a dear wife, mother, daughter, daughter-in-law, granddaughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend to many. She will be greatly missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM Tuesday, April 6 at St. John’ Church-Holy Family Parish with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Monday at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., Middletown. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Heidi Hoehn Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Fenwick High School, 3800 Manchester Rd. Middletown, Ohio 45042 or to the Mid Miami Healthcare Foundation, 105 McKnight Dr. Middletown, Ohio 45044, in remembrance of Heidi Hoehn, , for chemotherapy expenses for those in need of financial assistance.
