Helen E. Smith

Helen E. Smith, 84, of Middletown, died Wednesday, March 1, 2006, at Garden Manor Retirement Village. She was born in Hamilton, on May 25, 1921 to parents Edward and Edna (Janser) Mueller.

Helen was a member of Mt. Olivet United Presbyterian Church, where she was also a youth leader and Sunday school teacher. She was an auxiliary member of the Madison Township Fire Department and enjoyed cooking and gardening.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter, Melodie J. (Steve) Dobbins of Trenton; two sons, Paul D. (Judy A.) Smith of Monroe and Mitchell L. (Jean) Smith of Middletown; a sister, Ruth (Teofil) Lednick; brother, Jim (Jean) Mueller; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger F. Smith in 1999; her parents; and a grandson, Devon Smith.

The family would like to express their thanks to the staff of the Gables at Middletown, where Helen had lived for 4 years.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 3, 2006 at 1:00 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown. Visitation will be Friday, prior to the service from 12:00 - 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
