Helen G. Grosardt, 84, of Middletown, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at Atrium Medical Center. She was born in Corbin, Kentucky on January 6, 1934 to parents Jasper and Lena (Treadway) Hodge.
Helen graduated Fairfield High School and was Salutatorian of the Class of 1952. She worked for Selective Service and retired as their office manager in 1987 after 20 years of service. Helen was a Bridge Master and won many bridge tournaments across the Southeastern United States. She was also an avid bowler and loved to travel. She was a member of Holy Family Parish and was very involved in community service. Helen was a strong woman before it was fashionable.
Helen was a tireless and devoted daughter, wife and mother and is survived by her son, Harry L. Grosardt; daughter, Lisa (David) Smith; grandchildren, Logan & Gabriel Grosardt; nephews, Jeff & Steve Grosardt and Mike & Frank Hodge; niece, Cathy Hodge; as well as many other family members. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Harry L. Grosardt; parents; and brothers, Herman & Frank Hodge.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, September 7, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Deacon John Lyons officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00 - 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
