Helen Loraine Gardner

Helen Loraine Gardner, 88, of Middletown, died Monday, October 8, 2018, at Close To Home. She was born in Reed Springs, Missouri on September 8, 1930 to parents Roy and Ruth (Bolling) Sturgill.

Helen had worked as a secretary for National Cash Register. She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Gardner is survived by her children, Sharon Bartels & Roy Michael (Carolyn) Clark; grandchildren, Joseph (Patrie) Clark, Jessica (Craig) West & Sarah (Anthony) Pearson; great grandchildren, Mike, Samantha, Nickolas, Owen, Adrienne, Jonny, Tony & Grey; sisters, Hazel Becraft, Anna Hampton & Rita Salyers; and brothers, John Paul “Bud” Sturgill & Carl Sturgill.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles M. Gardner in 2011; and her parents.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, October 12, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 12:00 - 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
