Helen Matson Kettman, 89, of Monroe died on Friday afternoon at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. During WWII she was a blue print supervisor at Aeronca. She attended the University of Cincinnati for three years and Western College for Women for a year. She was the first teacher for the Head Start program in Hamilton in the 60's, she was a member of the DAR, the Farm Bureau, and the Monroe Grange.
She is survived by a daughter Doris and her husband George, and a granddaughter Elizabeth.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Kettman, April 1, 1979 and a brother Ralph J. Matson.
Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Monroe. Father John Kroeger, Celebrant. Visitation Monday from 5-7 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Drive, Middletown. Interment at Woodside Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Life Care Fund at Mt. Pleasant Village, 225 Britton Lane, Monroe, Oh 45050.
