Henry O. Schraub

Henry O. Schraub, 91, of Wayne Township, died Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at Hawthorn Glen Nursing Center. He was born in Middletown on February 23, 1927 to parents Earl and Hazel (Schmidt) Schraub.

Henry graduated from West Elkton High School in 1945. He married his high school sweetheart, Gladys, in 1947. Married 71 years. He ran the family farm on his property his entire life. He also worked in Health Physics for The Department of Energy under contract with Monsanto and EG & G in Miamisburg, retiring in 1990.

Mr. Schraub is survived by his wife, Gladys Jean (Hawkins) Schraub; sons, Terry (Sandi) Schraub & Steven (Norma) Schraub; grandchildren, Amanda (Brandon) Lester, Sean Schraub, Jacob (Kate) Schraub & Nicholas Schraub; great grandchildren, Bronson & Addelynne Lester; as well as many other loving family & friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Norma Grimme & Marcella Baumann; and brother, Robert Schraub.

Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 11:00 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Chaplain Galen Hoffmann officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Fairmound Cemetery in West Elkton.
