Henry Wagner, 84, of Middletown, Ohio, died on January 5, 2004, at University Hospital. He was born in Mayking, Kentucky on December 1, 1919 to parents Charlie and Lettie (Kincer) Wagner. Henry served his country in the United States Army during World War II.
Mr. Wagner had worked as a coal miner in Thorton, Kentucky. He also worked for Aeronca and Meadow Gold Dairy before working for Middletown School System, which he retired from in 1982 after 16 years of service, and he was stadium manager at Barnitz Stadium. He was a member of the West Chester Old Regular Baptist Church.
Henry is survived by his wife, Nellie V. (Craft) Wagner of Middletown; one daughter, Rebecca (Larry) Hasty of Monroe, OH; two sons, James C. Wagner of Middletown, OH, and Leslie V. (Patricia) Wagner of Middletown, OH; one sister, Mary Brock of Danville, IN; one brother, Jim R. Wagner of Mayking, KY; six grandchildren, Gina Wagner, George (Wendy) Wagner, Kathryn (Bryan) Hoelzer, Todd (Dawn) Wagner, William Hasty, and Polly Hasty; and one great grandchild, Brent Wagner.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter-in-law, Betty Wagner, and two brothers, Lundy Kincer and Dave Wagner.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 10, 2004 at 12:30 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., with Reverend Jim T. Caudill, Reverend Robert Wagner, and Reverend Boyd Carmack officiating. Visitation will be Friday, January 9, 2004 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
