Herbert C. Stein

Herbert C. Stein, 91, of Middletown, died on Monday, August 4, 2003, at McKnight Terrace. He was born in Middletown on February 8, 1912 to Charles M. and Elizabeth (Becker) Stein.

Herbert worked as an electrician for General Motors-Delco Moraine. He was a member of Holy Family Parish and served his country as a staff sergeant in the Army Air Corps during World War II.

Herbert is survived by one daughter, Charlotte Lakes of Middletown; a sister, Margaret Robinson of Middletown; 3 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ida (Barr) Stein on January 16, 1991; his parents; a brother, John Stein; and two sisters, Ruth Kimmel and Marie Stein.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, August 7, 2003 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Parish - St. John's Church with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 6, 2003 from 6-8 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
