Homer Joseph Schrock, 83, of Monroe, died Saturday, November 16, 2002 at University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
He was born May 19, 1919 in Michigan City, Indiana, the son of Homer Schrock and Caroline Louise Thienemann Schrock. He was co-owner of Schrock's Hardware until his retirement in 1982. Mr. Schrock was a 50 year member of Lincoln Lodge #693 F.& A.M., and a 30 year member of the Middletown Barber Shoppers. He was a veteran of WWII and retired from the US Navy Reserves.
Mr. Schrock is survived by his wife of 60 years, Thelma Humston Schrock, daughter and son-in-law Diana Lynn and James Howell of Cumberland, Maryland; a son, Preston A. Schrock of Middletown; five grandchildren, Melissa, Andrea, Emily, Jennifer, & Ryan; and four great grandchildren, Tyler, Logan, Zachary, & Brooke. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Eugene & Richard Schrock.
Visitation will be at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., Tuesday from 5:00 - 8:00 PM, with Lincoln Lodge Masonic service at 6:30 PM. A Memorial service will be held at the Amanda United Methodist Church, Wednesday at 10:00 AM with Rev. Leroy Chambliss officiating. Interment will be at the Mennonite Cemetery in Trenton.
