Howard Bruce Lansaw, Sr., 89, died Friday, August 27, 2004, at Garden Manor Retirement Village. He was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky on April 15, 1915 to parents Newt and Lou Ellen (Osborn) Lansaw.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He owned DeLuxe Manufacturing in Huntington, W.Va., manufacturing children’s furniture, and owned Good Wood Products of Cincinnati, where he was instrumental in providing employment for the physically disabled.
Howard is survived by four children, Paul (Barb) Lansaw of Fairfield, Bruce (Patsy) of Huntington, W.Va., Patty (Rod) Chatterton of New Port Richie, FL, and Linda (Mark) Wall of Middletown; 10 grandchildren, Lou Ellen (Gregg) Hamby and Teresa Chatterton of Oldsmar, FL., Jim (Cammie) Chatterton of Tampa, FL., Paulette (Tom) Clements of Louisville, KY., Amy (Larry) Withrow of Fairfield, Scott (Tracy) Lindsay of Dayton, Hardy Lansaw of Philadelphia, Margaret Lansaw of Wilmington, N.C., Katie Wall of Memphis, TN., and Andy Wall of Middletown; 6 great grandchildren; and a sister, Cora (Mrs. George Arkill).
He was preceded in death by his wife Rita Regina (Mann) Lansaw in 1994; his parents; one sister; and five brothers.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
