Howard J. Hilboldt, 71, of Middletown died on Sunday, August 11, 2002, at his son's residence in Lebanon. He was born in Corning, New York on February 11, 1931 to Howard and Lena (Schichtel) Hilboldt.
Howard served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict..
Mr. Hilboldt was in maintenance at Armco Steel where he retired in 1986 after 33 years. Mr. Hilboldt was a member of Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church, where he was a echaristic minister and server. He was a member of the SPEBSQA, Inc. and Razor´s Edge Barber Shop. He was involved with with Boy Scouts, Knothole Baseball, K of C Baseball, and a volunteer at Middletown Regional Hospital.
Howard is survived by, one daughter: Deborah (Fred) Armitage of Middletown; one son: Mark (Lea Ann) Hilboldt of Lebanon; one sister: Helen (Harold) Halcomb of Lebanon; one grandchild, Melissa (Tristan) Ashworth of Centerville; great grandchild, Grant Ashworth of Centerville; three nephews, James (Marcia) Halcomb, Gary Halcomb and, Dan Halcomb; special friends, Tom & Brenda Cockerham; and Bryant Arkansas;
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Phyllis J. Hilboldt, August 18, 2001.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, August 14, 2002 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 14, 2002 from 5-8 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd at Bonita Drive. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
