Ina Barnett

Ina Barnett, 79, of Middletown, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2009, at Atrium Medical Center. She was born in Combs, Kentucky on August 3, 1930 to parents Canie and Doris (Smith) Walters.

Ina loved to cook and her special hobbies included fishing and playing bingo

Mrs. Barnett is survived by her companion of 18 years, Joe Turner; sons, James "Blackie" (Angie) Barnett, Bobby (Robin) Barnett and Eddie "Bones" (Kathy) Barnett; daughters, Connie (Tom "Wolfman") Wells and Lisa Barnett; brothers, Bud (Verna) Walters, Charlie (Pam) Walters and Gene (Lyla) Walters; sisters, Helen (Elmer) Mitchell, Barbara (Ed) Asher, June (Linville) Shepherd, Viola (Gerald) Bendel and Delores (Richard) Knapp; 15 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray "Cat" Barnett in 1981; son, Donald "Red" Barnett; her parents; and a granddaughter, Christy Hayes.

Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at 12:00 Noon at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Pastor Dawn Cornett officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 am - 12:00 noon. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
