Irene Hocz Lykins

Irene Lykins, age 90, of West Middletown, died Monday, January 21, 2019. Irene was a resident of Fairfield Place, Fairfield, Ohio where she was well taken care of and liked by residents and staff and she will be greatly missed by them.

She was born in Middletown on January 26, 1928 to parents Frank and Elizabeth (Varga) Hocz. Irene retired from Ohio Bell (AT&T) after 35 years of service, and enjoyed her home and gardening and friends.

Irene is survived by her caretakers, Sheila McGuire and Phillip Masters and many family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward G. Lykins Esq.; parents; sisters, Mary (Hocz) Masters and husband Evan, of Fairfield Township, Elizabeth (Hocz) Cardwell and husband William of Columbus; and brothers, Stephen Koster and wife Marie of Middletown, Andrew Hocz of Middletown, Michael Hocz and wife Julia of Middletown, and Joseph Hocz and wife Marie of Monroe.
