Jack D. Thomas, 88, of Monroe, passed away Friday, January 28, 2005, at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on January 5, 1917 to parents Joseph and Emma (Snowden) Thomas.
Mr. Thomas retired from McGraw Construction and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Middletown. He was a 32nd degree Mason, and a member of the Shriners.
Jack is survived by his wife Billie (Hopper) Adkins Thomas of Monroe; a son, Jack Thomas Jr. and wife Carolyn, of Louisville, KY; a daughter, Susan Thomas Doyle and husband Larry of Murray, KY; Grandchildren, Brian Doyle, Heather Doyle Ledford, Alisa Thomas, and Matthew Thomas with wife Jeanna; and Great Grandsons, twins Jack and Ethan Ledford; and Great Grandaughters, Ashley and Chelsea Thomas.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary; brothers, Robert and Gordon Thomas; and a sister, Veda.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 1, at Woodside Cemetery with Chaplain Stan Gockel and Reverend Ken Fey officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, 4500 Riverview Ave. Middletown, OH 45042.
