Jack F. Kuhlman, 90, formerly of Middletown, died Friday, August 27, 2010, at the Otterbein Retirement Community. He was born in Indianapolis, IN on May 15, 1920 to parents Charles H. and Eva Mae (Mendenhall) Kuhlman. Mr. Kuhlman served his country in the United States Army Air Corps where he served from May 15, 1942 to Dec. 7, 1945. He was a staff sergeant in the Army Air Corp during World War II, serving in Greenland for one and a half years. Mr. Kuhlman was a civil engineer and partner in the firm of Duane-Hasselbring-Kuhlman, working for over 45 years. He was a former member of the Sertoma Club in Middletown. Mr. Kuhlman is survived by his son, Stephen C. (Deborah) Kuhlman and daughter, Kathy A. (Don) Keighley; granddaughter, Lauren A. (Niel) Hartman; four step grandchildren, Corey A. (Matt) Hall, Adam A. (Shannon) Keighley, Katelyn J. Keighley and Jayna L. (Elliot) Fox; numerous nieces & nephews and two step-great grandchildren, Norah Hall and Vivienne Hall. Jack was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen R. Kuhlman (died 2006); son, Christopher L. Kuhlman (died 1994); brother, Richard B. Kuhlman and infant brother, Charles H. Kuhlman, Jr.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 29, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and Monday, from 12:00 Noon until time of funeral service at 1:00 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown, OH.with Dr. Dan Flory officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
