Jack Murray

Howard J. “Jack” Murray, 90, of Middletown, died on October 24, 2007, at Brookwood Retirement Community. He was born in Hamilton, on November 20, 1916 to parents Howard A. and Dorothy L. (Theiss) Murray.

Jack worked for Armco Steel Corp for 37 years, retiring in 1974. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of American Legion Post 218, Verity Lodge #760 F & AM, Valley of Dayton AASR, York Rite, & Antioch Shrine, the Middletown Shrine Club, Middletown Commandry #71, Middletown Council #136, Middletown Chapter #87, AARP, High Twelve Club, and Middletown Senior Citizens. Jack enjoyed biking, playing golf, model airplanes, and he sang with the Middletown Civic Chorus for years.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Patricia B. Graham.

He is survived by his nephews, Tim Graham & Jon T. (Robin) Graham; and three great nephews.

Memorial Service will be held Thursday, November 8, 2007 at 10:00 AM at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown. Inurnment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
